Redang 21-24Apr

I went to Redang before gg to reservice. It was quite a fun trip. About 10hours of bus ride plus 1 hour of boat ride. The resort was good. It was called Launa Redang. Highly recommended and the room in fact can fit in 4 pple. There are 4 beds altoghter. First time gg for snorkelling. It was fun. I already told HH not to buy bread to feed the fish. When HH feed the fish, the whole school of fishes come and bit him, and he had to throw the whole bread away and swim away. Quite a no. of pple are injured. Many was cut by the corals lookalike stones when they touched them. The corals had sharp spikes on them. There is one area whereby the corals are quite high, even you trapwater, you will be cut by it. One student lying on the coral kanna cut everywhere over his whole body, really 伤痕累累。 Luckily, I did not get cut, I was surprised to see so many pple get cut when I got into the boat. ZG and DX went to a further place to see corals. The corals there are quite beautiful but dangerous. Being so tall, ZG was cut by the corals and had to swim all the way back to the boat while his feet was bleeding and skin was opening on and off.The way he described to me is really disgusting.haha.. DX didnt notice his injury and ask him:" Let go further a bit to see" but ZG replied:"我不行了，我脚被割倒了。”It was quite comical but luckily I did not follow them since I am as tall as ZG. Very likely, I will get cut by the corals too. But it is amazed to see DX can swim that well even she did not know how to swim initially. I tried to teach her bro, DG to swim while they went to the farway place to see the corals..He was staying at the boat all the while. I told him to go down and swim since he is wearing life-jacket. But it was quite tiring to lead him into swimming since he is quite heavy. Not long after, I told him, you better go up the boat, it is too tiring for me..lol...I saw a no. of fishes there but the sea is really really salty..The saltness is quite unbearable.

We also celebrate Xu XF birthday too. There is karoake free of charge before 10pm at the resort but had to take turn to sing among each table. The buffet meals- free from the package trip is good..

Vietnam on 5-8Mar

Life is exciting in Mar. There is jeff concert and also I went to Vietnam with Kwansiang during 5-8Mar.It also our 10th anniversary outing since JC days. I also received an sms from Christopher that there will be a 10th anniversary JC outing while I am heading to Ku Chi Tunnel. This holiday with KS is quite relaxing as we are very lazy pple...First day in Vietnam, we reached Vietnam early and could not check in in the hotel till afternoon. Hence, we walked a bit and eat at the penthouse restaurant above. I remembered the onion rings is so big but thin. The hotel we staying is not bad..But the last day hotel is the best. Since the first hotel is fully booked on our last night, we need to change hotel during our last night. During HK, I also stayed at 2 hotels due to flight delay..Fated to stay at 2 hotels when I go for overseas trips.. First day was purely shopping, went to the Market, Museum, Church etc. Second day, Ku Chi Tunnel, Third day: Mekong Delta. I still remembered the long speedboat ride that is quite unbearable..It took 4-5hrs to travel along the mega Saigon River on our way back from Mekong Delta. KS also looked for his collegaues and we had a special encounter at the "nightclub" restaurant.

Last nite spent at Empress Hotel. The excutive suite is really big..got living room somemore.

《弦歌有你 张信哲 x 交响乐》演唱会2008

今天去看张信哲的演唱会，好久没看到他个人演唱会，记得那时看的时候是99年，回来的专辑。等待9 年，终于等到了。今天去看演唱会之前，我是比我看的其他的演唱会更兴奋。我很开心能看得那么多人还是很支持阿哲。画我不会欣赏，可是歌曲每一首都代表我的一生。我从中一，那年13岁的我，听着别怕我伤心，到O 水准的用情，到A水准的回来，当兵的爱不留，到今天的做你的男人。。听阿哲的歌，就是好象描述我的一生。Colin 说阿哲唱得那么辛苦，我们一般的人不是唱到死。下一个永远，我们都呆住了，他竟然唱得那么好。说谎背后的那个音乐和CD一莫一样，让我们捧腹大笑。有时，我觉得他有点破音，回来唱错之外，我觉得他的唱功进步了。遗憾的事，这个演唱会太短了，23首歌而已。我还是觉得Indoor会比Max Pavilion好多了。在演唱会中，我们都在猜Encore的歌是哪几首，Colin 还说应该是依依不舍。有很多歌我们都听不到，看完演唱会，坐Colin的车，我们拿阿哲的CD 来满足我们听歌的欲望。我们去Serangoon Garden 吃夜宵，然后就回家了。

Straits Times- Citizens as clueless as New migrants

Today I saw an interesting article in Straits Times.
Citizens as clueless as new migrants.
In which year did Singapore become an independent nation. 63% of the citizens get it right compared to 53% from the PR. I thought I am poor at a certain extent but at least I know this question.Haha..

For question like, what do the five stars and the crescent moon on the Singapore flag symbolise. I am surprised it has a percentage of 47% from citizens. I expected a lower percentage. Cos I believe some Singaporean lecturers might not know the answer as well. Haha..

The Crescent moon represents a young nation. The five stars represent- Democracy, peace, progress, equality and justice.

The lowest percentage by citizens is 25%. Who is Singapore Biggest Trading Partner?
PR got 22%. haha..(The answer is Malaysia)

Next lowest percentage question is Who was Singapore first elected president?
26% for Citizens, 25% for PR. (Ans:Ong Teng Cheong)

Ans: There is a legend which had a fury dragon who feared red colour. Wearing red means it will scare the dragon.

Why we give even money in red-packet?
Ans: Good things always come in pairs.

Why give oranges/ Ju Zi?
Ans: Ju had the similar pronounication as Ji which means Luck.

Ans: Fu is placed dao..Dao means come also, meaning Fu is coming.

I cleared my IPPT Today. Last yr, I got my incentive by 2seconds..My 2.4km timings is 12:39, 2seconds less, I will fail and will not get my incentive. This year, if I miss by 1 point, I will not get my incentive too.


Sit Up- 36 -4points (As the years goes, sit up seemed to be not as easy as it seemed to be..haha)

Chin Up- 9 -4points

Shuttle Run- 10.6 -3points

SBJ - 216CM - 2points (My killer station. It boasts my morale to run if I pass)

2.4km -12:05min-2points (Dont feel like running after 1st round. Quite amazed by my timings cos I did not even sprint in my last round. Practice already helps.)
