Tonight is the first semi finals for the males. Everyone had done a great job and efforts had been made especially for the fast songs they sang and danced. The judges had commented all kind of animals like lizard, duck and bearbear. And I think weichoong clothes made him looked like a gorilla dancing on stage. All the scores by the contestants are above 30 which was an indication that today performance is still a good one. Without further ado, I shall comment all the contestants one by one..
M1:陈国强
演唱歌曲：痴心绝对，Come On
The slow song was bad, very shaky at some parts. Though shaky is one of his style, too shaky will become his flaw. I cant really feel anything from this song at all.
The fast song was not bad. The rap is totally like talking but luckily his talking is nice, so the rap was not that bad afterall. When he sang the fast song, he shouted and displayed a pretty thick voice which audience did not hear in his previous rounds. Bascially, he just shout and talk for the fast song..A bit special, but overall performance, not that bad. He did improve a lot..
(ps: though his rap is like talking, when he talk with u, it a bit different also cos i talk to him before..He is very gentle or perhaps some will say niang when he talked..But his rap a bit more thick and power compared to his normal talking.)

M2: 谢维聪
演唱歌曲：我还能爱谁 ， WuHa
The best image will be him tonight. I liked his image tonight. He always shined the audience through his image. But vocal wise, I guess he needs to put in more effort. For the slow song, the starting was nice. I can feel the emotions and touch, but when he was accelerating to the chorus, everything went haywire. All emotions and feelings were gone. He was accelerating a bit too fast and some words just mumble off. For the fast song, some of his expressions were quite well-posed. But there were some parts, I really cant tell it was wiber singing the background music or is he singing the song.

He was the man tonight. The best for slow song tonight as well.When he sings, you can tell he is excellent and differ from the rest. He controlled his vocals so well. The moment he sings, he had already brought you into the storyline of the song. When the singing begins, you straight away feel the touch through his singing. He looked good with the black jacket too. For fast song, his dance steps was not bad too though he danced only in the front and chorus. But this was the first time I saw Junyang singing so seriously. Usually he sang without much effort in slow songs because he was so good with it. Now with dance steps, it seemed that this performance had some challenges to him. Also, he did not smile at all during the dance, looking rather serious while he danced. He projected a fierce look tonight, perhaps he trying to project a cool look image. But I guess he should smile more since his set of white and nice teeth was his trademark. When there is junyang around, i guess derrick is hard to be the top scorer again. Junyang had been top scorer for 3 times and never fail to be the top scorer before.

For his slow song, he did not touch me at all. Since he sang this song, I am wondering why he don chose JJ version. A male version should be better. When he pronounce the word "遗憾” ，it sounded like another new word that I did not came across in the chinese dictionary. But later I dug my ahmei album and checked the real lyrics and it did not have this word so I guessed the tv lyrics was typed wrongly. The real word should be 以后 and derrick sang correctly. But still, his pronounication need to put in more effort. For the chorus part, he did a great job, the usual shouting and displayed his powerful and unique vocals. But I think he should use other singing techniques like head voice rather than shouting. For his fast song, I thought he will throw his hat to the audience but he didnt. Quite a pity I guess. The dance steps he chosen is quite safe. Easy and simple.

演唱歌曲：孤单的夜里我不孤单，情非得已
He looked nice today. Simple and nice. He is not that nervous today as well, managed to walk around the stage and trying to be as natural as possible. Good effort, weilian. He also tried to have some interactions with the audience as well. The slow song he sang was very touching and emotions were delievered quite well to the listeners. But I don know why I am bit stressed when I listen to him today. He forgot the lyrics but the judges didnt realise it because the live did not have chinese subtile below. Though he forgot the lyrics, he hid it so well that it was not obvious at all. For his fast song, still not bad. The only thing is that it is quite obvious one of the flaw he made, which was having the same tone to sing both fast and slow songs.

Hopefully Weichoong first..lol..
