Thanksgiving of the week

Hmm..I going to share a testimonial by my friend YL..He was praying for a breakthrough in his FYP this year and also to sense God presence more in his walk with God. During his last meet up with his prof, the prof was not satisfied with his research. So YL asked one of his church friend, zhihui to pray for him. A few days later, he went to see the prof and surprisingly, the prof was satisfied with his work done so far and asked him to get a mp3 player since his project was involved in music. The surprise part came when his father came back home with a mini-ipod instead of the mp3 player one night. His father attended a dinner and won a prize which is the ipod. YL mind was a mp3 player but God blessed him with a ipod. Praise the Lord and YL had finally sense a deeper presence and God's blessing in his walk with God. I also feel happy with him.

A coffee-chatting session

It been quite some time I did not take a long break..Going to take a long break from today till next tue. Today I went to meet YL in Clementi for dinner. It been 3 years I had studied in NUS but I never try eating the claypot stall opposite Clementi Interchange. The claypot was quite popular and many people were eating in that coffee shop. Something maybe a bit special about it is that you need to pour the dark sauce yourself. So you can pour to your own likings and taste. Later, we went to Holland V Coffee Bean to drink coffee. Though we had been seeing each other every sunday for church, but we don really have the time to sit down and chat for such a long time. It a day he shared a lot of things to me. I didnt know I can be a 爱情专家。哈哈哈。We also chat about our army days, talk about church stuff. Sometimes we realise what made kkmc(Kampong Kampor Meth Church) so unique is that we don really act super friendly when new visitors come. We don really act as though we know the new visitors so well and talk to them so much. The most the church do is to shake hands with new visitors. It really suit our charcters in the whole group cos we were quite reserved in one way or another. Last sunday, there were a report of FCBC pastor Lawerence Kong. It talked about his life and his family. Being a senior pastor, his daughter got pregnant before married. Well, sometimes I heard people leave the church because of this, I cant think of the reason but to say that their actions means they follow the pastor more than they follow God. Anyway, her daughter got pregnant also not totally the pastor fault as well. If you are a parent, you cant force your kids to believe in your own ways as well. Anyway that report on tv about Lawerence kong is quite touching to me.
We also talked about other churches and ended this paragraph with this verse 1 Philippians 1:15-18
"It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Though this verse spoken a lot to churches that might be a bit off-track of Christianity, but I am not angry because of this but angry of the other thing. What is the thing, I shall not write here but sometimes wonder is it not very good for God to give me a over-compassion heart that sometimes I fail to control to be upset or angry over some stuffs??

We also went on and talked about korean movies. I didnt expect YL start to watch korean movies and dramas. It all started cos I am buying Uweekly today and just happened the cover page is Kwan Sang Woo- 权湘宇，天国的阶梯male lead. YL don really like to watch korea dramas but like to watch korea dramas. He also said he like to heard the way koreans talked. There were once he was on the bus and there were koreans talking. He turned off his discman and listen to the way they talked. I too had such a experience. I turned off my MD to hear the koreans talked in a bus before. The way korean talked is like a melody to us. Being a korean fan, I like both the dramas and movies but YL don like korean dramas cos the plot is about the same, but korean movies are really different. The plot is fantastic. He shared to me some interesting plots. One of them is as below:

Movie: Bungie Jumping
There was a man(李炳宪）who is going to army. Then his gf did not come and send him off. The gf met an accident and he dont even know. Many years passed and he got married and became a teacher. He got a strong feeling towards a male student. Sometimes he will touch the male and he don even know why is this so. He realised he had loved the male student. Not long after that, he also realise he could sense the shadows of his ex-gf on the boy later on. Then he divorced with his wife and was expel from the school. Then later the little boy know he is the girl who died when they passed the accident scene. Then they went for bungie jumping which he and his ex-gf went before. The ending ended unexpectedly that u don know the ending will be they both jump the bungie jumping and died. It ended quite beautifully with beautiful words.Something like that bah..Cos I never watch also..


Another interesting korean movie drama plot I want to share is this one:
Movie: 中毒（Addicted)
Ho-jin 和 Dae-jin 兩 兄 弟 交 情 甚 篤 ， 而 哥 哥 Ho-jin 和 Eun-soo 的 婚 事 對 整 個 家 庭 來 說 更 是 一 件 喜 事 ， 但 這 段 快 樂 卻 只 維 持 了 三 年 。 Ho-jin 因 一 場 交 通 意 外 而 死 去 。 而 同 時 間 ， 弟 弟 Dae-jin 卻 在 賽 車 時 遇 上 意 外 ， 一 直 昏 迷 。

一 年 後 ， Dae-jin 終 於 醒 過 來 了 。 醒 來 的 Dae-jin 判 若 兩 人 ， 他 開 始 對 自 己 的 大 嫂 Eun-soo 甚 有 好 感 ， 並 且 同 居 。 而 Eun-soo 感 到 Dae-jin 猶 如 被 Ho-jin 的 靈 魂 附 上 。 可 是 周 遭 的 人 看 到 的 只 是 一 段 不 倫 之 戀 …

This movie I got watched before and it was shown in Channel U not long ago. It about 2 brothers and one women. The younger brother(李炳宪）loves the woman but the woman and his elder brother are married. One day, 2 brothers meet an accident together at different places and both in coma. But the younger brother woke up and claimed that he is the big brother though his body is not. He knew a lot of things about the moments shared by his brother wife and his brother. That made the woman and even the audience think his soul had been transfered to his younger brother. However, the twist came towards the last section of the movie when the wife discovered something and realised that the love letters are written by the younger brother cos the elder brother don really know how to write and express his feelings very well. The elder brother will share a lot of things to the younger brother as well. That explained why the younger brother knew everything. Though the wife know it, she decided not to tell the younger brother and keep as a secret and they live together forever since the older brother did not survived in the accident.

After talking so much about korean stuff, we planned to watch a midnight show for korean movie but too bad, there is no timings for that.And we ended our coffee chatting at around 11 plus.

The Ocean debate

Today I heard from 933 about an interesting debate. It was about the issue of ocean did not reveal his face during the cancer charity show. Some people argued that ocean did not respect the charity for not revealing his face and argued that why is there a need to do charity in a secretive manner.It not a shameful manner after all. While 933 asked callers for their views,Playmusic faxed to 933 defending ocean and the company as well. I think those people who complained about ocean did not reveal his face in the charity really had nothing to do. First, Ocean can reveal only on 3rd nov. It had been stated long ago. The charity show was the latter part and so Ocean could not reveal his face. Doing charity in a secret manner was not a wrong thing as well. After all, one need not have to boost to do charity.And it is not that secretive anyway. The most secret part was revealed by Playmusic when they faxed 933 that the donations of 1wan to the charity was in fact donated by Musicstreet together with Ocean himself. This can be explained that Ocean did not because of commercialised reasons for his own concert that he did not want to reveal his own face. Afterall, he is kind and got the passion to help the cancer patients. And Ocean just had to suit what the programme had long planned for the charity event.

I shall look forward to the Ocean concert. It was a honourable event since Singapore is the first place to held Ocean concert. Heard the special guests had 5 pple---the 3 superstars and joi and zhang dongliang..

Superfunkies

Lately I watched the superfunkies on tv..The superstar hosting really cannot make it..Jason and sugi super act cute, junyang talk like a robot, the rest talk very unclear..The best host i think is ruth bah.Maybe she got a big mouth, can project her voice well?? haha..just joking...But really, they should sing instead of hosting bah..haha..
Anyway, 2 of the superstar contestants had signed by playmusic.They are derrick and xinhui. Together with weilian, they are one big family in Playmusic. Looking forward towards their albums especially weilian and xinhui.

天国的阶梯

这个周末，买了“天国的阶梯”VCD来看。我花了2天的时间来看完这个连续剧。好久没有这样看了，星期五和六我都看到 5，6点还睡觉呢!这是我今年买的第二部韩剧，前一部也是崔智友的戏“新贵公子”。说真的，我很少在电视上看一部韩剧，因为韩剧的剧情有点慢，却很精彩，会让你有一股想看剧情发展的冲动。而90%的韩剧，我都会买VCD 来看。以前，我已经听说这部剧“天国的阶梯”很好看，很感动，周围都是赞好的评语。可是，我却没有很想看的冲动。可能，那时演员有点陌生，也是因为没有时间的因素。但，近几年来，我看了蛮多韩剧了，看了崔智友的“冬季恋歌”，权湘宇的“我的野蛮女家教”后，对他们也感到越来越熟悉。我也发现权湘宇在“我的野蛮女家教” 和“天国的阶梯”都经常 Blink His Eyes。这是不是他演戏的特征，是不是每一部戏他都这样呢。我也觉得他在某个角度很像李炳宪。韩国演员不一定很好看，不会超帅，不会超美，但他们却有Superstar的架势！这也是“绝对Superstar”参赛者可以拿来参考的。看完后，我的确没有感到失望。“天”和“秋天的童话” 很相似，但“秋” 还是会让人哭得比较残吧。我也发现我的同事很多都有看韩剧（我的上司也有看“大长今”呢），而我的其中一位同事还说那时看了“秋”，她和她的妈妈用了一个Tissue Box呢！那时，我还记得“秋” 轰动了我这个兵营呢。

看了蛮多韩剧，要找一部韩剧像“秋”一样的感人是件罕见的事情。而“天”的拍摄手法和剧情都很像“秋”。许多“秋” 的影迷 和“天”的影迷都喜欢比较，说这部比较好。对我来说，两部戏都有他们特色，无需比较。而“天”是一部我强力推崇的一部韩剧。

最近，买了一些专辑， 我今天就介绍蔡淳佳“有一天我会”给大家吧。



蔡淳佳这张专辑让我想起另一个本地歌手，她就是许美静。许美静也是曾经唱了许多经典的连续剧主题曲喝插曲。而淳佳这张专辑也是收入了许多很动人，很刻骨铭心的主题曲和插曲。比如： 让我擦掉你的泪， 未知的以后，梦在手里， 有你多好，这些都是“活下去”和“梦在手里”的主题曲和插曲。除了这些k歌，“南屏晚钟”是一首让人有个很舒服的感觉的歌。这首歌没有k歌那样，没有很强烈的chorus,但却能让听众静静地聆听这首歌。这也是淳佳表现她美丽的好嗓音。转辑里还有连续剧的MV,也让大家能感受歌曲的感觉和内容，让大家回味剧里的情节。

Hands

We often take for granted for our hands..In fact our hands had aided us a lot of things throughout our entire life..We use hands to hug little kids, use it to play games, use it them to type and chat with friends in msn, use it to type our daily emails, use it to eat our meals,use it to write in our exams and tests, use it to clap, use it to hold hands of our loved ones etc...How often we looked at our hands??

Our hands can reveal our ages as well by comparing the hands of an infant and a old lady/man...Well, when we open our hands, it usually show the expression of love..Yet when we close it, we forced ourselves not to be open(to kept ourselves in our comfort zone).And also by closing it, the same hand can use it to punch pple when we close our fingers inside our palms..Our hands can use it to hug pple, and yet we also use our hands to slap people, hurt people.In fact, yesterday the bombings in Bali is a stupid act of how mankind misused their hands to act on something to kill people..The hands does not act or change due to circumstances but by the owner commands. We instruct what our hands do....In fact, Bible mentioned the word hands more times than the word love..It was not surprising because the word hands often is an expression of love. Love is not just an expression through words but through actions by hands...When you hug, embrace, hold pple with hands, it usually an expression of love..We also use hands to praise God when we worship God..And Jesus Christ had sacrificed for us by being nailed into his hands on the cross...
